1. Purpose

The QA Leader will lead a Agile Team which completes Unit, Integration and System level software testing. create/execute test cases and regression test software for the various projects in the pipeline. must have knowledge of test automation and may need to automate the manual scripts upon request. This individual must possess a strong knowledge of testing processes and be able to adapt these to an Agile Development Model with good team management skill.

2. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Should be able to wear multiple hats working as hands on Sr. QA Lead, managing the day to day affairs of the offshore team.

2. Work closely with the QA Management to identify any gaps and recommend the appropriate QA process/methodology/initiatives necessary to improve efficiencies.

3. Analyze requirements; translate requirements into test specifications, test strategy, test plan and test cases.

4. Develop test cases and approach for the interfaces between different systems that interact with the developed system.

5. Develop test cases and approach for data validation and database components for the developed system.

6. Responsible for all aspects of QA testing, potentially including System, UAT, Regression as defined by the Test Plan for each project.

7. Creates test data and test scripts to formulate a repeatable Test Suite that can be leveraged for Regression Testing.

8. Must be capable to mentor existing QA resources in the right process and techniques on a project by project basis.

9. Reporting defects in the defect tracking system and regression testing.

10. Create meaningful QA metric reports and graphs.

11. Create and/or maintain various QA documents.

12. Other QA tasks and administration work as assigned.

13. Report daily on task progress and weekly on task completion, milestones, and roadblocks.

3. Qualifications and Experience

1. Education/Training

· BS or above in Computer Science or MIS

2. Knowledge

· Excellent command of written and spoken English

· Strong proficiency with the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies

· Strong ability to analyze system documentation and extrapolate requirements, test

cases, and test approach. (A Must)

· Very Strong ability to clearly document test artifacts like test plans, test strategy, test

cases, test procedures, test summary, test reports. (A Must)

· Proficiency with black box/gray box/white box testing, including analysis of systems,

test cases, and approach. (A Must)

· Ability to clearly communicate with team and project members both verbally and in

writing. (A Must)

· Proficiency with automated test tools and languages, scripting, QTP in particular.

· Strong proficiency with SQL databases, tools, and operations. (A Must)

Strong proficiency with intersystem interfaces/access points, multiple tiered systems, and web based applications. (Desired)

· Proficiency with data validation. (Desired)

· Proficiency with basic networking, OS and application installs, basic configuration,

and simple diagnostics a plus. (Desired)

· Comfortable with common Microsoft Office products including Project Server,

Outlook, Visio, Word and Excel for day to day work. (Desired)

· Friendly and upbeat attitude. (Desired)

· Ability to adapt quickly to the various existing projects in QA and be able to get

engaged in minimal time. (A Must)

3. Experience

· 7-10 years QA/testing experience (Required)

· 4-5 years experience in a lead role (A Must)

· 4 + year/s college/engineering degree or equivalent experience

· Experience working with Offshore teams in different time zones (A Must)
